I am game too. I know i am not even close to what your market is (different country and stuff) so comments on price is not that important, but would like to hear your thoughts on design and pic selection.

Main reason? I am working on huge redesign (as this is over two years old, including photos) and anything helps at this point :-).

Your site is very confusing...and your galleries I think could use some re-sorting. You had some very racy boudoir photos mixed in with bridal portraits...maybe thats the way you guys roll in Germany, but I just found it a bit weird

It was hard for me to get an idea on your prices since it was in German, and you had so many galleries with different prices...so I imagine your site visitors could be getting confused too.

You might be inadvertently showing a price range, instead of starting points. I know you state its starting points, but people might focus on the two numbers and think its a range. That was my first impression....
So, $2700-3200

Thanks, that's some good input. The half-day price is my attempt to pick up some more Friday/Sunday weddings that may be on a tighter budget, I don't make it available for Saturdays. I'm averaging $3920 for the last 15 bookings, but if people would guess 2700-3200, then that paragraph is actually meeting my goals. I'm already the most expensive in my city, so I want people to think I'm closer to the average than I actually am.

Portraits - $300-600 - is a complete collection really only $600? I know you stay "start" at $600, but let them know they should be spending more!

Weddings - $3000-6000
The way you have worded the "consultation is required" sounds harsh, I might re-word that so it sounds more inviting..."Please call to schedule a consultation for more details..."

I like your branding, very nice aesthetic

Great points Spencer, and thanks for the kind words about the visual branding. It is much appreciated. I edited some of the text to be more specific and accurate. You make some really great points in here.

Thanks Spencer! and no we don't do hardly any solo E-session's. We are gonna change our pricing a little and offer a little more. Since I only had 1 price for weddings you pegged us at $2600. If would have had more options on our site would you have guessed $$$$-$2600 or $2600-$$$$? I guess what I'm trying to ask is, would your guess be $2600 as a starting point or high end??

Again thanks for taking the time!

Nicely presented on the range. I would remove the part about the "delete the booboo's" thing, it just sounds a little childish

I know its good to mention other products you offer, but from a customer perspective, I have NO idea what some of those other products might be. Something to think about.

I don't remember what it looked like before, but it looks more clear from what I remember. You tell them "starting at...", but I think it would be better if you told them a higher range of numbers too. You want them to realize that the starting point is 1.550 €, but what about telling them how much they should be thinking of spending?

Unless you really only want them to spend 1.550 €...I always want them to invest as much as their wallets can afford

We as photographers too often are afraid of our potential clients accepting our price, I get it, I'm in the same boat. But, if you really want to be earning $5k for your weddings, it's gonna take some really hard work if they come in expecting to spend $2600. The upsell is a 200% increase.

I'm just recommending that you get them thinking about how much you WANT them to spend, even though you have a starting point of $2600. Nothing wrong per se with a low entry point, it all just depends on your realistic goals that you want to earn per job.

For example, I tell my senior portrait clients that "most people spend between $800 and $2400, and some spend more". $800 to me is LOW, but I'll shoot it because they bring referrals. What I really WANT them to spend is $4k I average about $1900 for each senior lately, so it works out both low and high. The point of me presenting that range of numbers is so that they do NOT fixate on a price in their head, but have an idea that "hey, I could potentially spend $2000 on portraits". Granted, senior portraits are a bit of a different sales approach to weddings, and they are sold during the picture-taking process and not the "website review" process.

But I think the one thing you should try and do is help them NOT fixate on a single price, let their mind be open to spending a LOT more than your $2600 price

Thanks Spencer,

I will think about your suggestion and smart way to put my kind of higher package.

Thanks again.

$2000-2500

You kind of only mention in passing that you do weddings...not much info about what you do or why you do it.

This is an unorthodox request and might even be set down, but Spencer, would you mind giving me your thoughts in private? I'm not ready for my site to go live here just yet, not the I'm trying to be a diva.
