Very nice. I'm confused about this, however. Do you mean this is the photo of a painting?
This photo was shot in a totally dark room and a pin size flashlight was used to apply light were desired.. This is the ninth image we attempted.. The camera was on full manual setting, per-focused, using mirror lockup, 2 sec. delayed timer, and one AlienBee 400 strobe positioned 9 ft. above the cross on minimum power.. The PP involved sizing for web, and converting to B&W.. Glad you like it..
Very nice, the way its cropped gives the impression of the person standing facing a little to the right the way the hands are positioned, I'd frame this.

Thank you Norm.. It is very kind of you .. This has to be one of my all-time favorites.. Jim
Fantastic lighting. Light painting is a little more difficult that it seems to get the envisioned end result. I've had a lot of happy accidents while attempting some light-painted scenes, but nothing that I can take credit for intentionally doing. Great idea and technical prowess. I can see this being a contender this week.

Thank you very much.. We tried 9 times before we got this image.. It is fun & creative but can be time consuming & frustrating..

Very nice lighting, and a great entry for "Hands". What are the hands made of? Are they real, or painted or something?
These are my hands.. Lighting is painted with small pin light.. Wife applied light-paint... Key top light applied with AlienBee 400 on lowest setting.... Processing on hands is mask & "Oil Paint in Topaz Simplify.." applied... This was blended back in "soft Light".. Thank you for looking...
wow, after revisiting some of these shots, this is actually truly tremendous. Especially after reading how you took the shot. Spectacular! I thought it was some kind of statue at first and passed over it, lol.
If it werent for so much soul and experience oozing out of those old women hands in Mend, it would def be all you this week!
