Price: $6,700.00 Payment method: EMT, cash, MO. Item condition: 10 Preowned equipment, but appears as new Shipping instructions: Buyer picks up
The lens set is as complete as it came from Canon, in "like new" condition, which means blemishless.
I bought the lens new a year ago from an authorised Canon Canada dealer.
A (LN) Kirk replacement foot is included.
The price is $6,700 CAN firm. Payment by EMT, cash and MO. No paypal, no trades.
For now, the lens is offered only in GTA and vicinity, Ontario.
Edd and Reno, thank you for your kind support.
Yes, selling this fine lens for about 90% of what I paid for it would help with the acquisition of some new gears this year. If there are no takers, I guess I'd just have to keep the lens as a 500mm backup for now.
Damn damn damn I want this lens but my pockets are empty lol This lens would be ideal for me with all the eagles I have around here now GLWS and Peter is the best well next me me
Thank you, Mike. How can I possibly be in the same "perfection" league with someone like you who has 500+ positive pieces of feedback ? Unbelievable and totally impressive.
Mike, times are tough, and they might get even tougher.
A dinky 24-70L MkII is listed at $2,300.....that lens is like a Mattel toy compared to what I am trying to sell here.

Yeah, times are tough and Canon has jacked up its big lens prices because of the supply problems. Used to be I could afford (barely) to buy a 500 and keep it for a couple months before and after my spring Yellowstone trip, then resell it for about the same price and it would be cheaper than renting one. Now though, the 500 is over a thousand more used than it was then and I can't afford to sniff at one.
Gonna have to go with lensrental.com this year and I hate it. I'd rather buy yours and carry it around the local nature reserve for a couple months and have some fun with it. Wish I were rich...

Well the way the prices are going up only the rich will be able to afford to shoot

Yes, pro grade gear has always been expensive, but now the prices are simply getting out of hand, and I do not think that, generally speaking, people's incomes have risen in a similar fashion.

Agreed and the people who can afford this will still be buying it's simply an awesome lens that people would kill for

It sure is an awesome lens, and 2 stop IS is generally quite effective. I have managed to get some reasonably blur-free shots at 1/30 sec, handheld.
Its only imperfection is a significant weight. A person of average strength/stamina can use it handheld only in moderation. The MkII is a nice improvement in that regard.
