With the popularity of posting Death Valley images, thanks recently to Steve, Dan, Charlie, Dean and many others, I'd like to start a collective thread of DV shots, showing some of the more unusual places and of-course the classics.

Zeph, neat idea. I like your shots I did not see anything like that durring my visit.
Here is a pano I made waiting for the moon to rise over the dune fields the night before the full moon , I miscalculated its rise over the mountians and it was to dark to get any useful shots by the time it came up. While I was waiting the setting sun was lighting up this range and decided to try for a pano I believe this was about 8 shots then stiched together in CS5. Not a great shot but interesting enough to post. Dean
Zeph, I like your Cottonball Marsh photos - partly because this is an area that is rarely photographed, probably because it is relatively less accessible.

Nice thread idea Zeph. Here's my contribution: Mosaic Canyon not too far from Stovepipe. It's pretty easy to get to but I don't see many shots from this area. I wish I had more time to explore.
Art, I really like your Rainbow shot, I might even accentuate that beautiful sky, by cropping a bit off the bottom, at about where that white dot is on the right...Love the light on the hills...
Love this thread idea. I'm headed back to DV next month for ~ 9 days in the vicinity, hopefully hitting a few of the highlights as well as some of the obscure stuff if time allows.
Here's a bit of a different take from the Mesquite Dunes area
