5Dc- with how many shutter counts? All amateurs may not be interested in a second hand purchase.
I don't mean to buy a 5Dc, but it was essentially what was asked for. By today's standards it as bare bones as it gets and if it wasn't for the superb IQ, you wouldn't give it a second look. You'll never get anything like this again I'm afraid. Even the most basic camera has more features, so really what is wanted is for the price of the FF sensor to plummet so a 5D II say could be offered for $1K.

It looks like its got some holes for a rear mic for image tagging...a feature the current 7d does not have
Actually, no. If you are referring to the three small holes below the LCD screen, those are for the speaker (for movie sound during replay, etc.). The 7D does have such speaker holes; they're just to the left of the eyepiece.
That little round thing to the right of the speaker holes on the new camera is the ambient light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the LCD.

What on earth did you use to generate that image? Looks like the photographer is slightly farsighted based on the image. Or he just bumped the diopter
Question is....how in the world did the Canon guy not know about this guy shoulder surfing him with a 400mm right behind his back...shooting at will ...rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat !
Been to the Mara many times, this photog had to be literally parked next to this guy blocking the oncoming traffic dying to see the ' Critically Endangered Helmeted Guineafowl '.
Btw, did anyone notice that the ISO button now has a clearly defined notch/dot on top to assist us to change the ISO without taking your eye off the viewfinder...neat !

It's already on a number of cameras including the 60D: top view
Looks like that "RATE" button really is just for rating captured images during playback. I don't see a great deal of utility in this. 1DX has something similar. This quote is from the 1DX specification page at Canon USA:
Display Format
Single image, Single image + Image-recording quality/shooting information, histogram, 4- or 9-image index, magnified view (approx. 1.5x-10x), rotated image (auto/manual), image jump (by 10/100 images, index screen, by shooting date, by folder), slide show (all images/selected by date/folder), star rating
Now I wonder what that "picture with a brush" icon button is all about. Is this simply a new icon for picture styles?
Remember that it's painted in white, so it is not a "playback" function (unlike the blue color) although the button is triple over-loaded. Could be picture style...possibly.
