I'd buy it as a nice toy but I can't afford spending 900$ for a toy which its basic appeal to me is in the way it looks.

Sadly, I agree with that as well. While I admire Pentax of making bold moves (remember the Q?) I don't think they will appeal to many people. One can only hope that P will be more successful but with these parents it's hard to be optimistic.
