Looks awesome...and two additional grips? Really gives you choices with respect to size and handling. Want it small...go with the base configuration (looks roughly like the E-P3 size there)...want a better grip, add the larger standard grip. Want a vertical grip? Add that. Very cool.
lots of good details, eye sensor, the EVF looks big and comfortable, big articulating LCD, no button-clutter in the back, thumb rest, the dials look programmable, good big grip for a small camera, shutter button on each grip.
Τhe VF hump looks too big though (ashtray?)
for me it's still a shame for the sensor size and no OVF but for those with no such preferences I think it looks pretty good so far
Oh man. I already have an EP3 and GX1. I don't want to lust after another damn camera but it's lovely and does recall my fondness for the OM film cams. I keep telling myself that my white EP3 is prettier so I won't buy an OMD haha. This tactic will likely fail .
Looks like a real camera to me, much nicer than most other offerings lately.
I really hope Olympus gets back in the game, IMHO I would hope they would bring out larger sensor cameras and not just stick with 4:3 and MFT. I can see why they are not willing to do/risk that though, with their commitment to 4:3/MFT.
Looking better and better. Assuming the rumors to date are right: GX1 sensor, IBIS as good or better than the EPs, AF as good or better than the EPs, EVF as good or better than most recent Olympus VF then I may be buying my first Olympus.
I'm left with: please, please, please, please have a useful firmware that does useful things with all those buttons! It would be a tragedy if they went the "Fuji route" and destroyed a brilliant camera with crappy software!
I'll be starting to do a lot of available light portraiture and this looks like a winner with all the recent m43 primes. IBIS to the rescue.
Where's my dedicated ISO button? I hope they are programmable. Didn't even realize the shutter release is below the top plate; that's interesting. Overall I think I like how it looks. I really want to see the silver version. I will be very interested to see how it performs against the GH2. Come on Olympus give us a winner with this one
