If Olympus introduced a fast 24-70 equiv weather sealed lens, I might consider it. I love thr dramatic filter, it's one of my most sold prints.

One thing I'm confused about, the specs on dpreview show movie mode as being 1920 x 1080 (60 fps), 1280 x 720 (60, 30 fps), 640 x 480 (30 fps)
Am I missing something or does this mean it cannot shoot 1080p at 30fps? Doesn't that seem odd, usually it's 60fps that is not supported by the highest resolutions?
I'm not a video guy, but I think that 1920x1080 60fps is interlaced, making it 30fps effective. If I'm remembering correctly I think some cameras even put 30p into a 60i container for some reason I never bothered to understand.
Take everything I say on this with a grain of salt, I'm a stills shooter and if I'm taking video it is because I bumped the wrong button on my camera.
Actually that's darn quiet compared to the other m43 cameras. One of the review sites compared the shutter to the NEX7 or NEX5n in electronic 1st curtain and the OM was actually quieter.
dunno why I always had the impression m4:3 would be quiet just because it's mirrorless...
Still has a focal plane shutter, and unless it is doing electronic first curtain then it has to move the shutter more than a DSLR - close for reset, open for exposure, close for read-out, open for liveview.

yeah I think these sound like sewing machines too.

That's great news. What site was that, and did they say anything about an electronic first curtain and shutter lag?
Sound. When we first tried the E-M5, we noticed that the shutter sound was considerably quieter than the E-PM1 I'd brought along. Then we got out the Sony NEX-7 and put it in electronic first curtain mode, its quietest setting, and the Olympus E-M5 was quieter than that as well. Very impressive. The Olympus E-M5 is likely to be an excellent street camera.
Haven't heard anything on shutter lag, but I did see Olympus touting the EVF lag is shorter now, 29 ms apparently with the new processor in the camera. I also haven't seen anything about an electronic first curtain unfortunately - I'd love that for super-telephoto shots on so-so tripods.
