It looks like Access and I are the only ones to find the 24-70L their best Canon lens. If needed, I could chuck all my other lenses and use this on FF (or 1.3X crop).
Second place, and first place in pure IQ, is the 24TS-E II.

Can I count the Sigma 150 OS macro? It's like the 100L but even better.
Second to that the 200/2 I purchased for a weekend is pretty good, followed by the 70-200/2.8 II.
YES! You can. That was MY fault. Of course I am not fixed to Canon lenses. What I had in mind was "the best lens you purchased" for a Canon body, of course. Sorry.
This compilation of choices shows the diversity of photographers we have here.
I would expect to see a much narrower selection of "Best lens". Truly diverse.
My choice goes to the one and only "Pipe" 80-200L. But the 35L comes in close second. Take them together and i do not need any other in my kit. Well, not until i can afford a 300 2.8 at least
You've just stirred up the Hornet's Nest. The Zeiss aficionados will now have a field day.
