Jonas, I have seen some great images from you. Anyway, best isn't an absolute rating, but a relative one
Yes, but when best doesn't reach very good, or at least good, on my absolute scale I don't know what to do about it...
Why don't you post your graffiti image from the top of the Heizwerk at the Fleischfabrik? That was a really great shot, and one which only you got.
Thank you Carsten. Aber, the web version lacks in PP and it was nothing but a document. There was little about humans, timing, composition or me seeing something not most people passing by wouldn't have seen.
About constructive critique, I guess knowing when it is okay is down to being sensitive, but you cannot get it right every time. I am sure I have stepped on some toes sometimes, although I try to be positive in my critique.
Or at least sensible for whom is sensitive...
I have failed here several times. I always assumed that people post images to get recognized in some way or another. Then it sometimes has turned out all they could take were very positive comments and even nice, encouraging comments including a hint of constructive critique resulted in negative replies showing a hurt soul at the other end. There is a lot about forum psychology I don't really get.
BTW, I like that you posted about having decided for another tour to the Meat Factory. I can't make you company this time but will certainly do so at some point later this year.

I think you are not giving yourself enough credit for your image. Certainly it is far from the bottom of the pile of images posted here so far! You did a lot of processing on it, and the persistence you showed in getting the shot is also something unique. Plus, I just really like it. Anyway, it is your decision, I just feel sad that you can't post a shot from 2011 because you feel they aren't good enough. I think you have several worth such an honour.
There will be more tours soon. I am just beginning to get on top of my todo list again, and will start attending again. I will likely go to both Fleischfabrik and Beelitz again, as well as other tours.

This would be mine... Significant to me in more than one way. It was my first roll of MF film and more importantly it was right after the birth of my first child (a little girl).

This is one of the classic cliche shots for Monument valley. I was there last year with photography group tour and we stopped there too for that shot in the afternoon when the light was harsh like this. I think the light is nicer in the morning for this shot but didn't get the chance to reshoot the following morning as we were on to the next spot. Since I was a little peeved that we were only being taken to standard shot locations at Monument Valley that day, I took this shot with a native Indian outhouse in the foreground to make it different than the usual.

Nice images everyone.
This is inside St Vitus Cathedral in Prague. I had to wait forever for some sunlight so that I could take a shot of the reflection from the window on the wall.
