I guess the one shot which sticks in my mind right now is from the Fleischfabrik tour in Berlin, from the heating plant. For me this is a totally different direction, and I was very happy to have pulled off a shot which not only I like, but which I also get compliments on. Zeiss 21 Distagon ZF.2, Nikon D3. I took this standing precariously on a table with my big tripod

Taken on the west coast in the south part of Sweden with the Zeiss 21/2.8. It took me quite a few attempts before I managed to capture the waves at the right moment and also to recognize what waves where interesting, the sky was a different exposure and blended together.

Hard to pick only one, as I think I had a lot of good landscape photos this year, and quite a few good architecture shots too, but this is probably my overall favorite of the year. Was hard to get but the results were worth it. This is with my GH2 and an FD 50mm f/1.4 at f/2. Was definitely hard to get focused shots on a moving swing:
I was weathering a freak late October blizzard when I stumbled up on this scene. My little Rebel XT may not be weatherproof but it handled the storm like a champ. I guess the experience is part of the reason why its one of my favorites and my best for 2011.

This one, because it is everything that I want my photography to be. Finding ordinary and a bit boring scenes and still be able to make an interesting image that is just nice to just look at, without any deeper meaning.

Some great stuff here. My favourite was hard to pick, but I think it would have to be this shot of San Francisco, as I believe it was my best shot from what was the highlight for us this year, our annual spring road trip.

Plenty of good stuff already! But OneAnt, where's your church-man? It's probably the photo of the year
Did not think I'd find anything to post, but I'm very happy with this one. It's in Pisa, and this tower is not leaning but for me it kind of made the point. Unbearably hot me and son spent a couple of days there. Sry for the watermark.

Some wonderful images in here already. Star dune has such a great intimate feel.
I think this won for me this year. Really cemented in my mind that Fuji made a great camera with the X100.
