Was out this morning with the V1 + FT-1 and the 35mm... still loving this combo the best. Any longer focal length, and you really need to have VR. I notice with this smaller sensor that camera shake is an issue with longer lenses. I would love to get some wider AFS prime lenses to try out on the camera. And just to have for my own kit.
I can see some fast primes with VR for the CX system being desirable now that I am shooting with the FT1.
I tried the v1 with the 70-200 and 1.4 tc and the results are incredible.
Very sharp.
Also tried it with my 400vr and all 3 tc's and I could not believe the results.
Extremely sharp even wide open..
Here's some from my recent trip to the California Academy of Science.
Brought my V1, 10mm 1-lens, 105mm 2.8 macro nikkor lens. The two were a fun combo. Very wide for regular snap shots and then a 283mm macro lens when I needed it
2. This accessory is designed to fill the port.
It does that very well and if your cover is not lost yet it soon will be.
Normal camera shoe devices fit the new port
but for the price it should have transferred the electronics too.
