My gosh, what an abundance of Snowies Tim. Four in one shot! I don't think I have even seen one in the wild yet.
Am trying to figure out the pose in # 1 but it looks like a yawn. Maybe you were taking too many shots of it.
Nice pose in # 3 with one wing and part of the tail showing on the left.
Fabulous pose and look in # 4 with all the feathers spread too. That's a beauty.
Lovely look and pose in the last one.
Looking forward to seeing more of the iceberg.
Martin
Oh Martin you wouldn't believe how many I saw. Well over 20 for the day Yes 1 is a yawn and as Henrik mentions below they usually eject a pellet afterward. I wasn't blessed with that! 4 was a treat, I couldn't believe when the bird that was flying away suddenly banked and came back towards me.

What a fabulous post Tim, these are lovely shots of some beautiful birds.
I think in terms of a portrait shot the last is the best, it is difficult to imagine how you could get a better portrait shot of a Snowy than this one.
No.6 is incredible. I had no idea these birds ever appeared in groups like this? Then again I've only ever seen them in a "bird of prey" centre here in the UK!
Sensational work, thanks for sharing!
Paul.
Thanks so much Paul for all the wonderful words. There were a LOT of these guys and for the most part they hung around groups.

Oh my!
I saw the title and took a deep breath.
Beautiful shots, how I would love to just see one of these, and you have a whole neighbourhood!
Gorgeous inspiring collection.
Howard
I saw the title and took a deep breath. That is so nice of you to say Howard, thank you so much. You put a smile on my face.
Thanks for driving all the way up here JUST to meet me. I'm sorry you had to settle for these owl shots. I KNOW you're disappointed but what can you do?! Next time!!
Of course these are stunning. If I had to pick, it's gotta be #4 for me very closely followed by #6. Or the other way around.
Martin, the owls 'yawn' at times to initiate regurgitation.
And GP, now that you've shown us the tip, bring on the rest of the iceberg.
H
Got that right Henrik, when I didn't get to meet you I settled for some lousy ole owls
4 sure made me smile at the time. I had the thought we all have just after taking the shot. "I hope it's sharp!"
The iceberg is coming so get on the Titanic buddy
Thanks for the good words and all the help my friend
Way Cool! I really like the wing pattern in #4. And the shot of the 4 guys together #6, I don't I ever seen a photo of more than one snowy owl in it, and here you have 4 of them! #7 with the excellent light and those amazing eyes is perfect.
