Oh Martin you wouldn't believe how many I saw. Well over 20 for the day
Yes 1 is a yawn and as Henrik mentions below they usually eject a pellet afterward. I wasn't blessed with that! 4 was a treat, I couldn't believe when the bird that was flying away suddenly banked and came back towards me.

What a fabulous post Tim, these are lovely shots of some beautiful birds.
I think in terms of a portrait shot the last is the best, it is difficult to imagine how you could get a better portrait shot of a Snowy than this one.
No.6 is incredible. I had no idea these birds ever appeared in groups like this? Then again I've only ever seen them in a "bird of prey" centre here in the UK!

Way Cool! I really like the wing pattern in #4. And the shot of the 4 guys together #6, I don't I ever seen a photo of more than one snowy owl in it, and here you have 4 of them! #7 with the excellent light and those amazing eyes is perfect.
