Had a reply to my WTB on a Nikon 300mm f2.8 via email. I figured it was shady, and indeed it is, a 300mm 2.8 AF-I for $1100, with photos stolen from eBay (I saw the real listing in my hunt for the lens). Here is the text and email address...

perfect working order and is packed with so many features..an
everything works perfectly well with no dent or scratch...Look clean
and excellent..I will be asking $1100 and i will need your home
address to calculate the shipping cost to your doorstep..My mode of
payment is via western union..Let me know which one you prefer and i
will send you my details for payment thanks and hope to hear from you
soon"

This is already implemented by it's not yet live.
It will be available together with the new buy and sell code. (Very soon)
Basically, members will have the option to "allow" to be contacted via Email by editing their profiles. Also, non-subscribers will not be able to use (see) the email link even if "contact by email" is allowed in the profile....
I am writing this to alert other WTB members to watch out for this person.
He(she ) emailed me in answer to my WTB ad......Seemed suspicious from minute one.
When I asked his FM name ,he responded "Mangra" a quick search showed no members
by this name,when I insisted , he stopped emailing, when I wrote again with his Paypal,
he than answered with a "german" email.
In one of hie emails he writes...."i am selling because i need money for my daughter hospital bill...I am
a happily married man with one daughter..Attached is a pictures of me
and my family.."

This piece of "shite" has been 'raiding' FM of recent history. Fred has already banned him. He got your email, but Fred is putting in place a way to keep that from happening. Good on you that you posted this to let everybody know that the SOB has not gone away.
Got an email from "Mangra" a couple days ago responding to my WTB ad. I just ignored it since I clearly stated to respond to me via PM not e-mail.
You would expect people to follow directions, of course there are sincere mistakes, but seems a bit odd that people would use e-mail when there's a message delivery system through FM. Unless of course specified by seller/buyer.
For those that don't feel like reading the whole email exchange.....Just take note
