The price on the post is accurate. Asking price is $1400. This is higher than most sell for used but there is a good reason.
I bought this lens from a fellow FMer. It arrived damage during shipping. It was sent off to CPS and was fully serviced and had quite a few parts changed, fixed and then had the lens calibrated ever so perfectly. It is a rare 35L that you will find that is rather sharp wide open at F1.4.
The lens does have a six month Canon warranty, so its basically like buying a refurbished model that is next to new.
I have attached samples of the lens at F1.4 and F2.0 to show just how sharp this thing is. Only trades I am interested in would be a really good copy of a Sigma 50 1.4 or a sharp copy of the 24-70L plus cash on your end.
Edit: Reason for selling. Rather simple CPS had no 35L to supply me with as a loaner so I ended up buying another 35L while it was being repaired.
Date code I believe was a 2009. It is no longer visible on the lens as it has being overhauled by CPS. New power diaphram, etc.
