I keep 'forgetting' I need to sell this lens. Someone please buy it! Make a solid offer.
Nikon 28mm 1.4 for sale. Includes box, manuals, warranty and very hard to find correct HK-7 hood (which can sell for over $100 on ebay). Has the typical M/AF ring crack, but I am including a new Nikon ring so you can change it. One small rub on the crinkle coat (shown in photos) and some dust that has no effect on IQ. Glass is clean and clear, aperture blades are perfect. Very hard to find this lens in this condition WITH all paper work and box. This lens is in seriously nice condition, and is a joy to shoot. The lens is sharp, and critically sharp at f2. It's very hard making this thread!
Oh good god why oh why did I have to see this..Arg. I need to contact my local rental shop as they don't have this lens. Maybe they would pick it up so I could rent it once in a while....

I'm starting to think we should find another guy who wants one of these lenses to put together a pot to buy it and then each use it 120 days per year. There is absolutely no way my wife would let me sell the D700+28/2 or every lens I own plus all my film gear to fund this.
I want one of these really bad. I think I must be guilty of covetousness!

Those hoods are SOOOO hard to find I have one for daily use and one NIB (got lucky and found one so I grabbed it for a rainy day). I own this lens and would be hard pressed to sell it even though I've "replaced" it with the 35/1.4G for weddings... Just a wonderful look to this lens...
