There is option on lots of cameras to adjust and align to make the images sharper.
Do you do that? is there a real need for it or it is just a gimmick to give you thje feeling that you did perfect your pictures?

When you adjust, you do it for a specific lens or you change/ adjust for all lenses. I have nikon lenses and sigma for nikon. I am afraid I would mess it all up.
Do you do the adjustment in the camera or in the lens?
And can you undo it to go back to the original?

thanks that helps, even so I don't see the need for it right now. I shoot D3 and d7k, that replaced D300. So far every lens I bought works out just fine.

Absolutely. It's not 'cool' to care this much about your equipment and delve into testing it but for fast lenses sometimes it's the only way to get the best results because of camera manufacturers' very poor manufacturing tolerances.
