No sense of arguing guys. Not all parts work for everyone.
I did a review and those who are interested and can be benefited will get the part, those who don't, not an issue.

What idea am I against I don't even know what you are talking about. I only wrote that it's possible to use a wide angle on a gimbal head. Which you wrote couldn't be done.

It's funny that you where against his setup without trying it The same thing you are complaining about

Never said it couldn't be done. There is a better way than your set up however.

You have no idea if I tried it or not. Like your other comments in this "discussion", you are coming from a position of total ignorance. In English, that means that you don't have any idea what you are talking about.

It always amazes me that so many people find faults with a product they have never even seen or used. This looks like a great idea to me.
After reading this amusing thread How can you know that everyone else have not tried or seen it ?
And then you are telling the others "You have no idea if I tried it or not" when it comes to the other setup
I belive the tripod quick release can have a market for some people. It looks rather nice. But also rather expensive when comparing to other kind of quick releases

If had actually read the discussion, you'd know it has only become available for sale in the last few days. I can only assume the language barrier has kept you from understanding that.

Yes I know that. But the product have not been for sale any longer for you than for other people. So you don't have more knowledge about it.
And everyone here also understand that you are not using the same setup as in the pics with full Wimberley head + RRS monopod head + Gitzo series 5 + clamps. Even if you are trying to imply that you have been doing that............................
It's just ridiculous to pretend you have been using exactly that very special setup and telling people "You have no idea if I tried it or not"
Never said I had tried it. I said it looked shaky to me. As stated before, maybe there's a language barrier you need to get past so you can read and understand what people are saying.

+100
maybe there's is a common sense barrier he need to get past so he can understand what people are saying.
All the elements of the Rube Goldberg set up Lars mentioned have been available for several years so it's possible I could have tried it. As I'm sure you have no idea who Rube Goldberg was, try looking it up on Google. As for the TQR1, I now have one so I can speak from experience.
I like this idea: it looks good for moving my ballhead from tripod to monopod and also keeping the head off both when traveling. Has anyone used this product in that way?
The bad news is you would have to buy two bases for that, which gets you to a couple hundred bucks.. it's getting close to the price of a markins Q3 head.
I have used this system for almost three months and I like it. I think it is designed well and other than a few sticky moments it works just as advertised. It works very well for those who use multiple tripods etc. I use a Mongoose 3.6, Wimberly 200 II, RRS BH-55, RRS BH-40 for my tripod heads and for tripods the RRS TVC-33, Gitzo 3530LS, Gitzo 1225 LV, TP-243 Ground Pod, and the Skimmer.
My tripods and heads are now usually separated when traveling esp vehicle travel, I might take one tripod and 2 diff. heads. Or if I grab the Skimmer/TVC -33 and Wimberly I can swap as needed high low, so to speak.
Each has a different application, when I'm in a blind I'll use two tripods w/two different long tele's. When hiking different combinations will be used. Should I use the ground pod or skimmer the TQR1 system makes it a breeze swapping heads. I don't use it on my mono pods, I use the RRS MH-01on my monopod and it never comes off.
There was quite the discussion early on this thread about if this system is too expensive and the need for it, I hope this helps explain the 'who' will use it. They are very solid, I think the weight added is about 7 oz. total. I have 3 bases and 4 of the tops and I would not be without these now. I need to order one more base and I'm set.
No I have no affiliation with the mfg/design or sales of these units.
An interesting gadget, although I have no need for it. Some might.
My Wimberley II head is permanently mounted on my Gitzo series 5 tripod. I carry it around and transport as one unit. There are only four heaviest long lenses I use on it. Nothing else.
