This has been haunting me since I made this image. I have been wanting to replace the staircase because of all the dialog about sprial vs helix.

I very nice staircase in what is obviously a grand building. The mono gives the image an old fashioned look. I think full colour wouldn't have been so attractive. A really nice image.
I thought I saw it up in color for a moment... then it desaturated before my eyes! If you had a naked woman draped over this you would have this week's winner, for sure! ;-)
I also just read the title of your photo, "built without a nail". Wow! That's all joinery?! True carpentry is a lost art these days. What church is that? I'd like to see more of it.
