I just purchased this from DmaalaM here on FM less than two weeks ago, but right after I purchased this lens I found another lens (in a F2.8 variety) that makes this one dispensable. It's a fantastic lens - excellent image quality. Do a search on Google - there is a thread on POTN that goes for 10+ pages that made me purchase the lens in the first place. If you don't need 2.8, and don't have 2.8 money, get this lens. It's light, relatively small, and has really great optics.
Looks like the photos don't work any more, but... it's a 9/10 IMO. No marks on the body or glass, and just a few tiny pieces of dust inside. OH, and did I mention is has RING USM? Very, very fast and very accurate autofocus.
