p.1 #1 · Sold: /FT Canon 1D MKI Classic $325

Purchased this camera last month as a backup that I thought would be fun, and give me an idea of whether or not I'd want to upgrade to a newer 1D series at some point. And honestly, I can't get my head around the menu functions compared to my 7D. I figure I'll wait until the 1D series comes with the quick control button that I'm so spoiled with on my 7D, and upgrade then. The camera takes great pictures, I just know I won't use it enough to justify keeping it.

Anyways, camera comes with the original box, 3 aftermarket batteries, 2 of them hold a really good charge, along with a 1GB memory card, and the original charger. Actuations are 107k (thanks JonW for the help on that!). See pictures for condition.

Price is reduced to $325 shipped and I'll cover paypal.

As for trades, I'm open to ideas with money added one way or another, but I don't need memory cards or kit lenses. Let me know what you've got and maybe we can work something out.

Thanks for looking!

Gasp, a quick control knob on a 1 series body...........

Public flogging at 4 this afternoon for even suggesting this !

Maybe Canon will put a pop up flash on the 1 series also........

Once you get used to the controls it is actually quite intuitive, but it does take time to get used to.

Good luck with your sale, it is a fantastic camera !

Yea yea, I figured I'd catch some crap for mentioning that, but I figured I wanted to be honest on why I was selling it. No pop up flash necessary, but I gotta admit that if I found a good deal on a MKIV one day, I'd probably take the chance and learn the "1D way" without the quick control knob. I was getting there with the 1D Classic, but I figured I wouldn't use it enough to justify keeping it.

My previous cameras never had the quick control, but after awhile with the 7D, I'm spoiled by the thing.

And yes, it is a fantastic camera. Just holding the thing will remind you why it was over $5k when new.
