I bought this lens from B&H in "E" condition but sent it in to Canon since it tended to hunt. When it came back the service details state that the "fixed barrel ass'y was replaced and product functions were confirmed. Other inspections and cleaning, mechanical adjustments and parts replacements were carried out."
Functions well since it came back, and the only thing I would make note of is that the focus ring is slightly worn. Glass is perfect with no scratches and little to no visible dust under the elements.
