I have pictures of snakes Tom but not with hawks attached to them
Great story line and wonderful shots, I love it when they plop down on their prey in the death grip and stand there like nothing is going on while still on watch, great shooting and glad to hear the MKIV is back in your skilled hands my friend
Those are simply amazing photos Tom. It pays to be ready (and take risks! ). After seeing these photos your wife must have forgiven you for being late with lunch!

Sometimes you just get lucky and sometimes you get lucky AND have the skills to take advantage of the situation that was just handed to you. You my friend are the latter. Way to capitolize on a chance opportunity!!! Wow, what an incredible series!!! The look of the hawk is priceless. He looks like King Kong strutting around like that Way to go Tom, it looks like the mk4 came back with some good luck karma for all the days you were without it.

Super series, Tom. Great story also.
The heart of the series is, of course, the young hawk grabbing the snake. But I also really like the first image of the red tail prancing with wings outstretched- it gave me a chuckle. Offered alone and without title or caption, it would be interesting to see what caption others might come up with. The possibilities are endless.

Yikes Tom! Be careful! You need a bumper sticker for your car that says "Stops suddenly for unexpected wildlife". This is a fantastic series. I love those first 2 RTH shots of him strutting around looking... I don't think that snake is too happy.
