The exclamation point tips me off to your real intentions, but I should warn you that "fine" in English is closer to "akzeptabel" in German. "Fein" would translate to "great", or something similar
I will be in Berlin at the weekend but I will not come to Wünsdorf. I will come together with my daughter and will therefore do something on saturday that is more suitable for 10 old girl than Wünsdorf. In addition I just returned from a photography trip where I shot a lot of images. Therefore I need a short break from photography.
I wish you all a lot of fun and great results in Wünsdorf.
Bring a nice fairly wide lens, perhaps 18-21mm, a 35mm and a short macro lens, and that ought to cover it. I find that I usually use one lens almost the whole time, usually the 21 Distagon, and then occasionally a longer lens.
It's either Sony A7r with better DR and overall better for tripod work but nothing wider than 24mm or M9 with much better wide angle options and better for handheld.
So something like
Sony A7r with 24mm Summilux and 50mm ZM Planar or
Leica M9 with 18mm ZM Distagon and 28mm Summicron (or 35 Summilux)
These places are often quite dim, so I would at least bring a tripod, otherwise there will be many shots you will have a hard time getting. My average exposure, at or near base ISO (100-400) on my A7, is probably around 1/4-1/8s.
I hope you guys have a great day! I would have loved to participate but I will fly to edinburgh that day, two days later the flights would have been twice as expensive
Oh, now I am jealous! I was born in Scotland and am itching to spend some time there. Are you just staying in Edinburgh, or will you also visit the highlands and other places?

I will stay in the UK for 3 weeks, I will travel two weeks with a friend: 2 days Edinburgh, a couple of days Isle of Skye, a couple of days lake district and some days in Snowdonia, how long we will stay were will depend on weather and how well we like the place. And then after two weeks I will visit relatives in wales for a week.
We have a car and a tent so we hope for good weather and some wild camping but if the conditions aren't that good we will stay in hostels more often.
I am a bit anxious about the weather but I also look forward to the experience an some potentially very nice pictures
I'm looking forward to see you all tomorrow! Does anybody else take the train that arrives at 10:27 in Wünsdorf? A restaurant in Berlin afterwards is a good idea. Phillip, LurkerX and Boris: I hope, the next Berlin meeting won't be taking too long to happen...
I haven't checked yet, but I presume we will all end up on the same train. I will try to board at Gesundbrunnen, I think.
Since some of us don't know each other in meatspace, should we try to meet somehow on the train, by describing ourselves or our clothing, etc? We could all pin a sign to our clothes saying "FM" Or we could exchange portrait photos by PM?
I will go on board at Südkreuz. Maybe we can meet in the last waggon of the train? I don't think that portrait photos are necessary - we all carry tripods, that should be sufficient
