Yes, we were! In the end, we were six: Morfeus, philber, Ulff, Vincent Kluwe, igmolinav, and myself. All were great to meet, and we had a very nice time. We were probably together, chatting and walking, taking photos, and so on, for about 6 hours. Now I am home again, and due to the unexpectedly warm and sunny weather, I need a shower quite badly. Photos later. We will post sets of three, we have agreed. I might personally cross-post some to the various other threads, but we will each decide, I suppose.
We will definitely do this again, perhaps in 1 1/2 months or so, but definitely in 3 months, so time to start planning, people!
How about coming to Amsterdam sometime between Nov. 8-11? But these dates are weekdays, so will probably be difficult for anyone with a 9-5 job. Anyway, I will be there for a friend's 50th birthday (though I have some time before I reach that marker) and will want to spend a couple days walking around doing photos.

houston to berlin is not cheap...
Interestingly, my flight to Amsterdam will be CLE>IAH>AMS... for $70 roundtrip, total but booked using miles. It was a nice surprise, since anytime I fly from Toronto to Europe on miles the surcharge is usually around $400.
Anyway, sorry to go off topic. I'm looking forward to seeing the images.
Yes, it was definitely worth going to Berlin to meet Heinz, Carsten, Markus, Vincent and Ignacio. Great thanks for the organisation of this very pleasant meeting, including the nice weather! I would do it again in a heartbeat. Except for one failure: the welcoming comittee totally failed to materialize. Next time?
Haha, let's try to organize that for next time Maybe next time will be a bit better planned, and we will have more time to relax and do something in the evening.
Amsterdam sounds interesting, Ron, but given that I have a small family, I do not know if I would be able to make it. During the week would be quite hard. I have a few vacation days left and might try to convince my girlfriend that we should go.
Please feel free to post before me. I have just upgraded my MacBook Pro 15" (late 2008) to a Mac Mini Server with SSD+harddrive, and have had to reinstall Aperture, Photoshop, and a bunch of other stuff, so I am a little behind. I hope to be up to speed by tonight.
Who ever is ready please start. I am on a mobile internet line and I don't know if I can post before Wednesday when I am back home.
It was great to meet you all in person and we where very lucky that we had such phantastic weather on that day. Today it was cold and grey with some rain, but I found a Meyer-Görlitz Trioplan 100mm/2.8 in perfect condition for 50 Euro at the fleamarket
Haha! Vincent calls himself lazy... but considered it a requirement to carry his Gitzo around in full day full sunlight and use it for every shot, despite his being injured... lazy indeed!
