Thanks Jonas! I only made the one shot of this item. It is a fairly popular subject (if you search for "fleischfabrik berlin urbex") so I didn't want to spend a lot of time reproducing existing images. I stepped back and took a bit more in, for a slightly different view, and then I moved on.

The light painted red cables from Jonas and the first window image from Heinz are very nice. My new favorite image is the last one from Carsten, but I would crop the lower 5% with the plastic foil (or have removed the plastic foil before taking the shot ;-).

I managed two more today. I played a little with the images, leaving the documentary style I usually spend time with. Over the top?

One from the bakery:

Nex-5, CV35/1.2, f/5.6
One can say most parts of the meat factory had been taken pretty hard hits. We did no harm.
Some places felt more fragile. Can I walk here?

Thanks Boris. I did change some things slightly while photographing, but not dramatically. I removed some plastic from another location, later on, I am not sure why I didn't here. Actually, come to think of it, I put the chair there, it was standing the other way around about 1m closer to the camera, or something like that.

Ha, I remember that chair One shot coming up from me, sometime later or tomorrow. Nice, Philippe, much more intimate than my shot, as you will see.

Here are three more. When I shot the first one, I randomly bumped into our guide, who told me that the lady who had worked in that messy office for 30 years was coming last Monday, to be interviewed, and presumably, to walk around and see the place again, including her office. I wonder how she reacted?

Thank you Boris. The cables were a challenge and when we left the building I wasn't sure I would be able to do anything worthy of posting with them. Now I have owned that Nex-5 for a couple of months and should have learned to trust it. It works.

Thank you Carsten. I'm happy you like it - I'm never really sure about things when I have changed the reality. I mean, I do it in a way I like but have no idea if anyone else will. Not that it is very important but anyway.

Philippe, I think the lamp there is another one of the small things many of us took a shot at. That was before entering the building and getting struck by, I think you called it, and very accordingly so, the visual overload. I like the second image of the chair with the broken bottle/jar under it.

A "Windows study" Heinz? I like the first window best. Perhaps it's the weak spot in my heart for monochrome works. Did you think about different themes while taking the images or did you "just" find them back home?

You posted while I was typing Carsten. The first one is like getting a flashback from looking in there at Saturday. The last one, the chair again, really shows the messy place and again as I recalled it, without recalling that exact hallway.

It was interesting reading you were in a 21mm mode for the day. I switched once from 35 to 16mm and when looking at that one image:

Nex-5, E 16/2.8 at f/7.1

... I feel I abused the lens. I wish there had been a subject and that I had lowered the camera. Super wide stuff doesn't come easy to me. I'll have to work on that. I have seen so many really good SWA images, including work from you, making me understand I miss opportunities by not having learned the art of SWA at all.

Very neat image, I have no idea where that was. Yes, you might be right, lowering the camera and moving close to the glove might have made it stronger, but I like it the way it is.

Fine shots everyone! My favorite so far is Jonas's B&W shot, super cool shot, worth all the effort.
I also like the framing and composition of the cables shot, hopefully you can improve the IQ of the shot some with some more work in post. The outside woman mural is nice too.
I am wondering if anyone got more of the bright color mural stuff which is to the left of the smashed lamp which Philippe and Heinz shot? Maybe it was not that interesting?
Looks like quite a bit of fun, and the portraits are great to see!

This wall? No, just a blue tiled wall, not that interesting, IMO.

Very nice shots from all of you.

Jonas, windows have always been an interesting subject for me, so yes, I made this images by purpose (I do have a few more) and no, I had no other theme on my mind.

Carsten, superb work. Aong others, I love your latest "door" shot, your pipes, and the one "before you ran out the door". And the one of the mural painting of the woman.
Heinz, your windows series is amazing, and speaks to me, as I have an ongoing "door" project. The last two of your first set of four are my faves. As is your gauge shot.
Jonas, more B&W goodness from you, and always such a strong sense of aesthetics!
