I thought I'd go for levitation rather than being chopped in half. Much less messy. ;-)

Our 4 year old son was very excited when he saw this pic as he thought his Daddy was a real Jedi and kept asking for him to "use the force on Mummy again!".

Very cool shot, I love the expression on the magician's face. I can't quite figure out the ground shadows, but I'm probably missing something. Can't see the wires at all however!

Lovely image. Was it PP'ed to give it a touch of old film print or is it the lighting? Whatever it is, I love the shot. The only thing that bugs me is that her hands are rigid.

Definitely, I think the magician makes the photo!

On a more serious note, well done M, it worked out great even though you had to make do with a scowling, impatient, and irritable model!

Really awesome! Everything came together so well: great idea, awesome lighting and expression on the "magician", and I love the post processing on it as well. This is definitely one of my favorites this week.

Cheers, glad you like it.

The ground shadow of the magician is genuine but I agree it does look slightly odd but thought best not to fiddle with it. The dress shadow however, was added in after and is probably not too accurate. In retrospect I would have done things slightly differently.

Thanks Yakim. Yup, it was PP'd which included overlaying a cross processed version of the image with some vignette to give that old photo feel.

I tried my hands in different positions (some hanging down and less rigid) but this shot seemed to work the best. I see what you mean though as it could look a bit like I was resting my hands on something rather than being levitated which was my intention.

I think you definitely do make the photo, no argument from me on that count!

Thank you for being such a good model, you certainly manage to pull of that scary face a little too easily. You need to work on taking direction though. I don't know, these model types who think they can tell the photographer what to do! ;-)

Exactly, those bared legs are just a distraction!!!

Pfft, that wasn't a scary face that is my 'come to bed' look!

re. Direction. Hey, at least I don't run to the photog after every shot asking to see what it looks like

I hope the magician doesn't lose his concentration or the lovely assistant could fall

I like the image a lot but the hands do look slightly out of place. I don't think it hurts the image overall. Nice job.
