Thanks to again to wfrank, supermario, and carsten. That was a really productive and diverse day for me, from the Getty Museum to Vitello's Restaurant. I'm glad I chose to take the 35/1.4 for use on full frame.
I don't know if the ultra-fine detail will come through (like spider web strands on the rusty hinge post), but this lens is excellent. The color and contrast are also impressive. Minimal PP in LR3, no color corrections.
A small point, but I'm very happy with the lens hood -- it blocks almost all stray light outside the imaging area.
Very nice shots too Romain! The bokeh you got Romain (in all shots) combined with sharpness is exactly what I love about this lens but you do it better
Some great shots here. I only heard of this lens earlier today. I'm looking to replace my Nikon 35mm f/1.8 DX - the bokeh is just awful.... I can't stomach the price of Nikon's 35mm f/1.4, so this might be just the ticket!
