supermario,
fantastic shot...def not the norm shot. Usually on e would focus on the hoop!
Gunzorro Gregg (especially for the variations of aperture),
You are very welcome,
Gregg
supermario -- I have this lens (Bower version) for about a week now. I've very impressed with it and its sibling, the 85/1.4 (B+H version). I appreciate all your examples as I test and get used to the lens!

Thanks to all posting here.
No problem at all. Looking forward to seeing your posts here as well.
Heres a flare test shot I just did to see how flares look when shot directly into the sun. I had a UV filter on as well in case anyone was wondering. I actually like how it looks...others might hate it but I dont mind it.
Heads up on a deal. There is an ebay shop selling the Vivitar-branded Nikon version for $450 shipped. I bought one assuming it would be the non-chipped version ($450 is $50 below what other non-chipped units are selling for) but to my surprise it is chipped, so $100 off the chipped version. They shipped mine via 2-day priority USPS. They list them one at a time so if it's sold just search for a relisting. I have no affiliation with the seller.
That's a really really good image Gunzorro [#1]. I'm sure you could do something about the noise, but on the other hand it contributes to the overall feel. Great shot.
Thanks. Yes, I chose to only use a tiny bit of NR for that reason -- it has a raspy look from the low light. At those low shutter speeds, I'm happy just to get a moderately in-focus image, shooting handheld.
