An 18 minute exposure of a train as it climbs the hill and then loops over itself. That's a fairly long exposure isn't it?

Thanks guys. I was just there one night and conditions weren't great but I thought I'd give it a shot. It's the Tehachapi Loop in Southern California. The big streak of light off to the right is a freeway of course. At this size it's a bit tough to make out.

Do you use a light meter, or some tool to calculate how long you need to keep the shutter open?

Thanks well69. No, I used a guess meter. I was off too. Anyway I never need to worry about batteries for that one or losing it and it takes up no room in the bag.

In bulb mode, any camera. This was a 5D Mark 2.
