Compared to Croatia? I have no idea in honesty. In terms of non eBay/store, used prices, anywhere from £700 to £850 seems normal. There is one on dyxum right now for around 750 GBP, EU, but not UK.
Thanks Ricardo, I do love the colour from Ektar and Minolta glass. Unfortunately Toronto Hydro seems to be allergic to properly burying power lines, so they're in most of my urban shots.
Never mind, I do enjoy this combination you're getting to. Keep posting please!
Any thoughts on the 85/1.4 ZA hood? Do people use third party hoods? It seems a pain. Feel off twice yesterday. It goes into place and everything, but is nowhere near as secure as my Minolta 85/1.4 hood. It's metal vs plastic as well, but the plastic one has never fell off in 4 years of use. Or broken. Hmmm...
I had a small nightmare after this as well... smacked it into a door :S. It's basically brand new, or at least was. Everything is okay now, but the hood fell apart (the mount part was still attached, and the metal ring part on the floor...). Got it back together, and no real damage, but not an enjoyable experience. I also cracked the GGS screen protector on my a850, so perhaps my clumsy day has came and gone... I'm pretty careful with my equipment, haven't dropped/broken anything since my first SLR camera (when I was 14), so certainly made me feel a little sick when it happened.
Managed to get 16-35, 85, & 135 ZA now. Hopefully they'll get here to put into action this weekend. I can no longer have excuses for shoddy images I guess
- that's a great shot. I love the A900 with 16-35 ZA - a Killler Combo for sure!
Rick
Rick, Many thanks for your kind words! I really like the 16-35 ZA with A900. I recently went on a trip to Italy with three lenses, 16-35/2,8 ZA, 50/1,4, and 70-200/2,8. I ended up using the 16-35/2,8 ZA 90% of the time. Here is another one taking with the 16-35/2,8 ZA.

If I had to choose only one lens on the A900 it would be the 16-35 2.8 !
That is encouraging! I got mine last week. After reviewing recent series it seems I had huge peaks at 35mm and 85mm in usage. Little between 35mm and 85mm. Then another smaller peak at 16mm. So, I'm hoping this 16-35mm can be my all in one wa solution.
I went on a three week trip to Japan a couple of years ago - I had 35, 50 and 100mm primes. 85% of my pictures were with the 35mm. Now I have a different system but the 16-35 ZA is usually on the A900.
