Q: How do you squeeze the pano within the width of this forum and yet have the magnifying glass show up? I do not want to use the original file which is huge.
I haven't done it myself so far, but I think just post your image at the size you want to display when the magnifying glass is clicked. The forum software automatically makes the image be displayed at a smaller size (by changing the html attributes for width and height).

It's a nice dream that Alt has been separated from Canikon, but the reality is the majority of bodies in Alt are from these two manufacturers.
Yes, more pretty pictures, please.
...because it's all (well, mostly) about the lenses dummy.
That's what we are being sticklers about. I love seeing what you do with your Leica alt glass on your current camera platform - regardless of what it is.
What you do with your non alt gear I honestly don't want to know or care about. And should I want to know I would go visit your brand specific forum.
kosmos -- Thanks. I'm glad you find the Leica shots interesting.
I like good glass, but honestly, the "recorder" is just as much, if not more, of the picture taking process and the final look. At least that's how I feel. A lot of the time, the lens is superfluous, as long as it is of a given quality level. For me, most Canon lenses are of that level, and certainly the vast majority of the "L". The Leica and Zeiss are also very high, as are most Voigtlander and some others. I suppose I'm odd among Alt participants, in considering the body (and computer!) to be so important in the final outcome.
Jabberwockt -- I post URL from Photobucket. Maybe using those services causes the resizing at the FM server?
Went to lakes surrounding Mt. Fuji the other day. Fantastic weather 2nd day of the trip allowed to see the mountain clearly. Sadly, the first day wasn't all up to scratch.
You can see some 60% of the mountain though.
The quality isn't the same of course, but I've gotten some good use out of the Nex-7's "Sweep Panorama" mode.
There are some obvious glitches in this, and of course if you look at the bridge you'll see the alignment was often wrong, but consider that it was a moving target. . .the ship had just passed under it at about 8 knots. . .
Been taking panos for many years, my first some 25 years ago was hand assembled from prints
I am mainly a people photographer, but when I do landscapes or cityscapes or wide views indoorsI love using panorama techniques....
Here are 3 recent panos all taken with Hasselblad H4D-40 and the hc50-110 lens
1. The village of Bud on the west coast of Norway. 338 megapixel 18 shots

Nice panos man, but the quality of web presentation is not ideal.
