One of my most inspirational photographers passed away May 3rd/2011 http://www.pbase.com/ronnie_14187/profile
My apologies if this has already posted but soooo sad to see such talent and a great person effected by Lou Gehrig’s disease.
This is hugely depressing. Ronnie's bayou photography is absolutely amazing. "Inspirational" is a good way to put it. Whenever I look through his gallery, I'm always astounded by the beauty he's been able to capture. He will be missed.

His work with the 300mm f/4 and the PN-11 is amazing
I know this is late but I feel I should express my feelings about Ronnie.
Although I have never met Ronnie personally we exchanged emails. What a perfect gentleman!!!
Even after being diagnosed with ALS he wrote back that his spirits were high and was optimistic. I really missed the opportunity to meet him personally and never got to Louisianna to visit him when I was down in the South East and had the chance.
The incredible quality of his pictures convey that it is not only the right equipment that is needed but a true talented artist. It is also amazing to know that most of his shooting was done over the weekends because he worked during regular weekdays.
I urge everyone that is not familiar with Ronnie's work to visit his website at pbase.
Again, rest in peace Ronnie. I will never forget you, your talent art and master pieces.
