Carsten, really like the colors and detail in the shot, perfect sharpness and elegant out-of-DOF transition. 12MP cams do well in detailing :-)
Two BW 50P's opening up the summer house, one ZF and one CY 50P on the 5D2. F/1.4-2:ish. Will get rid of one of them. Playing with aspect ratio 3/4 rather than 35mm std 2/3.

Do you see any difference in contrast and sharpness between the two? I've been thinking about getting the 50P and a CY version can still be had for a bargain. But the Z* version has a modern coating that may positively effect light transmission over the CY.
Thanks Luka! I have enjoyed your tree shots recently, but have been horrendously busy, to the point of being able to process 0 or 1 shots per night, so my commenting has been very sporadic.
Vincent! 21 I thought you preferred the 25 or some such. Very nice shots. I think #2 may be the best shot I have ever seen of that building, very postcard perfect.
No bluetsunami I cant tell them apart. But I dont shoot side by side 100%crop test images like we can see in other threads occationally. For all practical purposes they're the same if you ask me and the CY is as sharp as a 1.4 lens gets.
Well. How to put it. Likes and dislikes might change in a lifetime! No - I had an offer, I couldn't resist. So I took the 21 to complement my 18 and the PC-E 24. And I'm very happy I took it. The 21 IS outstanding. Right at time my most loved lens of all.
Ah - forgot to tell you Carsten, that I sold the 2.825 in order to be able to pay the PC-E. And if you remember, I still have the chance to get the new 25 for a third less. But as the first reviews are so & so, I'm not sure, if I should take it. I know it makes Philippe restless flubbergasted and he even loves it more than his old 21. Maybe due to his Canon? I don't know, how much these lenses differ with different cam / sensor systems.
And on the other hand, I' m not sure, how much sense it makes to buy the 25 as well with respect to what I already have. Perhaps you could help me with some advice.
I am afraid that I cannot really offer any serious advice to anyone on Zeiss lenses. I pretty much buy all the ones I like, long-term My next will probably be the 85P, followed by the 35/1.4 and 25/2.

Sounds awesome then! Thanks for the response. The blur transition in the first photo is pretty phenomenal. I can see why people like the blur characteristics of this lens at mid distance.
I am not sure of the composition of this one; very tight. I couldn't go any looser, since just above the top one, there was a bunk of junk, and just to the right of the right one, there was a fence. [email protected], 5 shots:
I like it too. The colors are great. Also the sharpness close by and it is a pleasing comp through the main diagonal and the close-to-eye experience a 50mm gives how the wheels gets smaller further away.
But why 6 shots? If the wind wasnt dead still the vegetation is bound to move and therefor like begging for problems. Of course I dont know the DR of the scene - nor what SW you use to mix the shots and if it allows to take care (select a specific exposure for select areas) about movements.
One other thing (relevant or not I dont know), I think I would mask downsizing sharpening from the background, it looks to me that it perhaps have been working there too.
Regardless, a very pleasing well-tuned HDR. Great shot and inspiration for natural looking HDR!
Looking at the shots again, probably an HDR wasn't necessary for this one. Still, by far the most of the content, including funky boke, is visible in the middle shot, so it didn't really add much to the confusion
Reality was far less colorful and contrasty, btw. It had just started to rain and was exceedingly grey in that moment. With my treatment, it looks like sunlight
Definitely, the funky 50P double rendering bokeh on the back three blue wheels is a little eye catching.
Like the colors and detail in the front wheels
