Funny, the last three shots could have been in Berlin The Contax 645 is film-based, although some digital backs fit, but Contas is using Contax 645 lenses on a 5DIi.
Ah, I see. I thought using MF lens on 35mm does not always yield good result, but that looks plenty good to my eyes.
By the way, thank you for you inputs on tripod. I ended up getting something I did not think I was going to get. GT3541LS. You mention you have 3541XLS ?, anyway, that got me started rethinking. Love this tripod, night and day difference from what it replaced. At some point, I will probably add 1542T and I am done.
Beautiful lighting and realisation, contas...akul, see any thread featuring Mamiya's 200mm APO for more evidence to debunk the 'MF lenses do poorly on 35mm digital' meme.
Thanks to akul and philip_pj.Contax 645 80mm is mostly the main tool for wedding shooting by professionals for a decade - nowaday they have new way to serve on 35mm digital.Assumed that this lens must be excellent on capturing skin tone, so I decided to try to converse it for my portrait lens purpose, it sold on Ebay for only 1/4 or 1/5 of Contax N 85mm f/1.4 for the same goal - I never heard any comparison between these lenses
( although they all belong to Contax ).My 80mm f/2.0 is sharp at 2.0 (2nd pic ).The skin tone is natural and I can see many details like: vessel "map" on 1st girl's thighs or a bruise on her left inguinia.Akul, I also like your autumn trees, it reminds me my medical student time in Lviv City - Ucraine.
Lovely Berlin series, Akul! I wish I could do the ...:-( well done!
Great shot, mortyb! Not easy to tell a story with so little in the picture, but the result speaks volumes!
