That "warty frog" is a common toad, and those are supposed to look like that.

Nah, it is a frog with an allergic reaction to the skincream it is using

Another stunning Volvo shot! I am slowly beginning to get an itch for that car. Are they very expensive?

Here's the Distagon 28/2.8 @ 2.8. If you're not into extreme vignetting then never use Contax Metal Hood #3 on this lens, #1 should be ok.

Or just use the rubber Contax G-12 hood.

@ Lieutenant Z: Nice rendering in that shot with the 85P. Which aperture was used here?

Thanks so much for comments, much appreciated.

Doubt that, it looks too alien to me, maybe down there in continental Europe.. ;-)

Thanks! I dont think so. If you find one in DE it could/should be cheap, many are right now being brought back to SWE from the US where they sell cheaply. It's not powered like a Jaguar E-type but it's not bad for 1964, double SU carbs and so on. Love this ad:

Found one for 6500 Euro

http://www.autoscout24.de/Details.aspx?id=219595162&cd=634811758440000000

Looks like a great retirement project. Is there a lot of room in the back for kids, or is it a two-seater?

Haha, you can get better than that with less intrusion on your retirement. Amazing T/S experience in the first image! Impressive ad

It is a 2+2 seater. Back is suffice for kids, but not really tall adults other than short A-B travel. Nothing for the vacation.

There is a German P1800 club, very dedicated I believe. As far as I understand the German (and Swiss) mindset is to have cars where you can serve meals in the engine bay, a car like that can go for 20.000 Euro or more. We're talking (almost) museum pieces. Some like that exist here but most are driven. For the Nordic mindset a fully working and original one in excellent condition (like the one I posted) could sell for not much over half that. The Saint (Roger Moore, honorable member of the Swedish P1800 club) drove a white one with red interiour, they tend to go a little higher.

Ronny - Great toad shot. And I really like the rusty anchor shot.
Wilhelm - That is a great volvo shot. I sort of don't mind the hardedge vignette fo that particular shot.

Green cast?

Nice subject and comp tho!

Is it a reenactment or are there still uniforms with helmets like that?

Wilhelm -
Akul, love the painting that lens does.

I agree about Planar 50. I always loved planar's rendition, and never drawn to mp50. 'painting' quality may be the poetic answer.
