i went outside Berlin to Buckow today with Bernhard (alba63) and walked around the forest there. Here is one photo with the [email protected] from a tree-filled field next to the forest:
Here is Carsten, shooting later in front of a sunflower field. He hasn't got that lens for a long time, so in respect to the sun shade, there is still some potential for optimization
I shot mostly with the Contax/ Zeiss 35-70mm lens. I didn't bring my tripod (an Ebay "bargain carbon" model) and used Carsten's for a few shots, and reviewing the shots, I must say such a Gitzo makes a difference! Razor sharp shots...
Of course this doesn't show up here, only at 100%.. Here are two, one colour, one BW.

Hehe, I was just checking if I could get nice angles with the zoom. Once I decided to use it, I put on the TC14 and put the hood on properly.
Really like this one alba, the BW handling, depth and whatnot. Mundane scene yes, but there's something special about it that I cant really put my finger on.

Thank you.
Trees and groups of trees have a certain magic, question is whether one can capture it or not. Sometimes more, sometimes less.
But BW processing might help to bring out the structures and the natural order in which they stand...

Nice B&W Bernie!
Here is one with ZF.2 21 and D800E:
Hi Wayne,
The shore/ seascape looks nice, although I am on an iPad these days, and cannot really judge colours well - it is iPad 2, nit really true colours...

Wayne - Gorgeous landscape. Beautiful capture of light. Exposure is really well controlled. Well done ! I also lie your compositional choice on the secone one.
Dikes on bikes, Stockholm Pride from today.
With the sun shaded by a cloud or similar the CY 100/2's performance contrast-wise (local and global) is nothing short of stellar IMHO. Little PP on this one, it does not help much.

Thanks a lot Luka!
The nice light on the water and land near Bixby bridge didn't last more than a few minutes.
The new Sony sensor in D800E has great DR!
