Most companies have non-transferable warranties, but many people get warranty service anyway.
There was already one report of an individual buying a used x100, I believe in Canada, and then Fuji trying to charge him a bit over $700 to repair a sticky aperture problem. Fortunately, in his case, the original owner was still available so I believe they were going to have the original owner send it in instead in order to get it covered. Clearly, that case indicates a used x100 buyer must beware until Fuji makes a statement.
All that said, Fuji was very flexible in repairing out of warranty S2 DSLR's that developed sensor issues due to a known problem.
I bought it used here. I suppose if it develops issues I'll figure it out then. Warranties are like insurance, you only need them if you can't afford the risk of repair/loss. They are a "nice to have." To some people saving a few hundred bucks up front is worth it as well as having the camera now rather than waiting. It was to me, but maybe not to someone in a different financial situation.

In the past, as long as I had the original receipt I've never had a problem getting warranty service from any company. Just saying.
When I buy stuff in warranty this is the way I like to go too.
I really wish fuji would add their own take on focus peaking.

But then it would be a double edged sword because on one hand they could have a nice peaking feature, but then at the same time, it would drive people crazy because of the poor electronic MF feel of the camera.
Peaking isn't bad, but I honestly didn't love it, or really find it that accurate on my NEX.
Rather what I think would be cool is an option to have a digital RF patch overlay on the EVF, and of course change the amount of turns it requires to spin the MF ring.
"virtual RF" if you will, perhaps a bit of a gimmick, but a rather fun one I'd have to think
bigkidneys - Great shots! It looks like the experiment paid off in spades. I am a bit jealous that I missed our local fairs this year but next year it I will be sure to attend.
