Rich may have 'Lost That Lovin Feeling' for those rigid, straight F1 lines, glowing LEDs of that adavaced A-1, and those thick black barrels with their red stripes...perhaps not, he's now LeicaMan; but isn't KR LeicaMan.

Well who really knows, I get confused quite easy these dayz, just seeing that Tamron SP 500mm mirror and it's 2x T/C sitting outside it's black leather, red velvet lined case...kinda gets me all...I need to go shoot something...NOW

Half of the fun of this hobby for me is shooting with the huge variety of glass that is out there, much like Bif does with his mega-collection of gear. When I really want to be serious, out comes the Linhof gear, and the day or weekend are instantly spoken for...but it is all worth it.

My relatively serious gear is my Nex-7 & an FD SSC 35/2.8 tilt shift, this lens will be killer on a FF Nex.

I just did a proper infinity test, OMG, one word... sharp.
I'm ~3km(~2miles) from downtown, and I can see details within the office windows.
I'm quite happy

I'm really looking forward to seeing what it can do on a FF Nex-9 or similar.

I tried to purchase a Leica 28/2.8 Elmarit-R, but as discussed in this thread it didn't work out :/

Instead, I got myself a late-model (1992) Leica 180/3.4 APO-Telyt-R. I will post a beauty shot when I get it.

I'll also be putting together an article with extensive side-by-side images, comparing it to my Nikon 180/2.8 ED AI-s (and possibly a Hasselblad 180/4 Sonnar if I have some extra cash).

Only decision is whether to do this with my D700 or wait until I can upgrade to a D800E.

I just had something bizarre happening to me. I was bidding on a Mamiya RZ 90mm lens on eBay, and placed my bid 4 seconds before the end. I was immediately greeted with a screen saying that the bidding had ended, all the while the time is still counting down on the very same screen. At the end of the auction, the previous bid stood, although mine was significantly higher. Just weird. This is all on the latest version of the iPhone app.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

I would contact them through the app store or leave feedback in the review section of what happened.

M42 lenses:2X Zeiss Flektogon 35/2.4+3x Zeiss Pancolar 50/1.8 MC (one zebra)+2x Pentacon 50/1.8 Multicoatig+Pentacon Auto 100/2.8+Pentacon auto 50/1.8,Mir 200/4,Jupiter 85/2,Flektogon 20/4..Bought at the beginning of this week and sold yestarday.None of them was technically good enough to keep. .Oil on blades or defective apertute ring or wobbly focusing mechanism.They were all funcioning but not perfectly.Mir - excellent lens but very strong reflex from the rear lens on NEX sensor.

BTW-IQ differences on the NEX5N between Yashica 35/2.8 ML and Distagon 35/2.8 C/Y are hardly discernible-Yashica is only very slightly less sharp in corners.Great lens.Unexpectedly good.

Today:Carl Zeiss Jena Biometar MC 120/2.8 for Pentacon Six.I liked this lens in the time of Pentacon Six for it's excellent IQ.It apparently holds it's high rank on EOS 5D2/600D and NEX5N/7.Sharp w/o with minimal CA.Very sharp with crisp and bright colours from f5.6.The adapter I use is big and clumsy but you can't get everything.Despite the size my little table top Manfrotto tripod 709B Digi gives this combo stable enough support.

BTW:on the NEX 5N/7,MC Tele Rokkor 135/2.8 55mm has significantly less LoCA overall and slightly more of 3D look compared to MD Rokkor 135/3.5 ,55mm.

Tamron 24-70 2.8. My first copy had dust between the front lens elements, but was fairly sharp, I exchanged it and WOW. Much sharper. I wouldn't say sharper than my nikkor 50mm1.8, but close. And a bit more dynamic which is what I was looking for.

I found a latest MD 28/2.0 and have conveted it to EF mount. I use a EF-NEX adapter on the NEX cameras. So far works good, but I have limited time...
