Phillip, wonderful 3D glow to these images. Are these morning or afternoon shots?

Thank you. I finally got something worthy of posting here (not that that's stopped me before!).

Hi, I'm a long time lurker on this forum, and this thread in particular has been a huge inspiration to me. I got really interested in photography about 1.5 years ago and bought a NEX-5, and this thread is a major reason why I now have a NEX-7 and a growing collection of alt-lenses (mostly C/Y Zeiss). I won't list all the people I think deserve praise, that would take too much time. Lets just say that I've read through the 500+ pages of this thread just to see all the photos

Here's some recent photos of mine taken last weekend of some Typha latifolia, while impatiently waiting for spring to arrive

NEX-7 + C/Y S-Planar 2.8/60

NEX-7 + C/Y Planar 1.7/50

welcome @perost!
I remember posting here for the first time a little less than 18 months ago, daring to do so was a great thing, many nice people here!

That last is pretty interesting sebboh. Looks bit like if it was Leica not Sigma.

Eric, those are beautiful. I especially liked the last two. Was the CV 21 the 21/4?

Prost, welcome!

Phillip, wow, more great things from you and the CV15. The first set in particular!

We got out of the house for a quick trip to the snow today. Well, long trip, but out of the house anyway. These are all 5N + CV 21/1.8

it's quite a nice lens optically, that shot is wide open and solidly sharp to the corners (where there isn't motion blur from the wind anyway). typical sigma colors, which aren't bad, but not quite to my taste.

NEX-7, lens unrecorded (probably either the Micro-Nikkor 85/3.5 DX VR or the Nikkor 50/1.8 AI)

Disaster struck not far from home today. Sad for the people involved. I saw the fire from the frozen lake where I was out shooting with my Contax 120mm macro (first image). Went home and changed lens to Contax 50mm f1.4 and went to the site to get some photos.
