I am still playing around with this ancient Leitz Elmar 9cm, 4.0 on my Nex 5n. This picture is a really good example of the lens character. It is full image, no cropping, wide open at F:4. I just added some sharpening to the RAW file but nothing else. I think the lens is very flattering to skin tones.

Were these shot wide open? They look quite sharp.

rokkor 58/1.8:

I love this shot, excellent work, was it a 58/1.8, or was it a 58/1.2(or 1.4) shot at 1.8? As I don't see it listed here:
http://minolta.eazypix.de/lenses/index.html
If it was a 58/1.8, I'd like to see some more from it.

G45 wide open on the 7. Tomorrow, this will likely be covered in snow.

the first lux shot was f/2 the other was wide open.

that was a typo, the last shot was with the rokkor 58/1.2 wide open. I'll post more of those in the f/1.2 thread. I decided that the rokkor beats the lux as a birding lens - easier to focus and sharper in periphery.

Spring has finally arrived and this means the dogwood blooms are out. Taken with the NEX-6 and 35mm f1.8 lens and 30mm f3.5 macro lens (2nd image).

zhangyue, I really like that first capture. You just can't beat the way the Nex series renders Black and White. That was the number one reason I was able to dump all my canon gear and go with this system. I love what you can do with those files, and you have done a great job here. Good work.

Nex, absolutely beautiful image of the tree, really like your processing on that. Shot with the Nex 7 and 35mm 1.8 lens last night.
