No, that's not how it works. Either ask before buying or post results after buying. Slight joke.

Does anyone think there's a chance Zeiss will reissue any zooms in the Ni/Eos/K/M42 mounts?

Andreas,

Hope you get yours soon - one of my favorites - this one has been posted before @ 35mm

Great photos! Snooked shows that the lens can produce great stars!
I knew I had to try this lens and got a good deal. That is why I am asking now :-)

The 35-70, and apparently the 100-300 Vario-Sonnar too, appear to have that special something to them. My guess is that it depends on what glasses Zeiss used in them. If there are many lenses made of heavy metal glass or glass that is unavailable of other reasons, then they need to be redesigned, which is very expensive making a re-introduction less likely.

some lovely shots. Snooked, wonderful shot indeed. what f-stop? I have not used it at anything smaller than f8.

Has anyone ever tried this lens on Four Thirds? I had a copy (Paul Yi's former copy) in my Canon crop days...wonderful images, but it's kind of an awkward focal length on Canon crop. It'd make a nice short telephoto zoom on Oly though...

With the resolution capability of this lens ... I'd think 4/3 would work well @ 70-140 3.4.

Sounds a whole lot like the 75-150 3.5 Nikon Series E (my favorite in years gone by) only with Macro & even better resolution.

I've just ordered the 50 MP and will probably sell my 35-70. If anybody is interested, just contact me.

this is one of, if not the only, manual focus/alt zoom worth owning.
