Jochen, I rarely post to this thread, but that shot is awesome. Great micro contrast and clarity, but more so, the composition really emphasizes the vastness of the scene.

One of the reasons I like Planars (50 & 85) so much is their bokeh at middle apertures; smooth, low contrasts and very predictable.

Carl Zeiss Planar T* 1.4/50 @ f/2.2, 1/2000s, 5DmkII - should have shoot @ f/2.8 top corners suffer @ f/2.2 from mechanical vignetting (causing effective aperture in corners to be smaller, which causes larger DOF on corners)

User 222, thanks! I hope things are all right in your part of the world. The good thing here is the rainy season is coming to an end

I really like your second shot, I could feel as its about to rain shortly.

R-young, thanks I liked the composition in your shot as well. Personally I find the 21 mm view a pain to work with.....

Luka, really dig the first shot, young Vs. old

Samuli, I always adore the clarity and colors of your shots

Blackout, cool! we only have clouds right now

rirakuma, thanks you.. looks like you've had a good walk your self! lovely water fall shot you've got there.

Jochend, excellent! Very moody shot which becomes your trademark lately.

What a nice shot. Would love me some Zeiss lenses... I have Zeiss binoculars (real ones, made in the DDR) and they have always been perfect.
