Why not post some images made with ZE lenses and your impressions - ![]() UPDATE - I wanted to write (ZE) lenses and not this specific lens. Thanks for pointing out Philber. as per request of many...and it does make sense as all these lenses are almost the same. |

I had not thought of using this lens as a B&W portrait lens, thanks for showing me the way with such a fine picture... |

I will Prashant, but I don't like multiple postings of the same shot. So I have to dig out some fresh pics... Here is a picture with ZE 50, and a 100% crop |

As I have said on this forum before - the 50 1.4 ZE is my favorite all purpose lens! |

Here is a photo of Owls Head Light in Maine - taken with a 50 1.4 - a B&W polarizer was used. I have learned that these Zeiss lenses have such great color and contrast they really don't need a polarizer. However - once in awhile ! |

I just got my Zeiss 21mm ZE lens from UPS during lunch and I did a few quick test shots and I am blown away at how you can shoot in the midday sun, sun fully in the frame, and retain shadows and blue sky, and with very minimal flare if any. Simply Wow! |

Hard times prevent me from subscribing to Image Upload but a selection of shots taken with the ZE 50/1.4 and a Canon 40D can be found at: |

From fabulous India, one picture with ZE 50, one with ZE 85. I came back with some 1500 pictures after the first two rounds of elimination. Out of my total 8 lenses, 2 Zeiss and 6 Canon, 75% of those came from the 2 Zeiss, and 90% of my 225 really satisfactory pictures. That is when I decided to go all Zeiss. |

Outstanding images prashant, the first one is particularly excellent. I need to utilize my 50 1.4 Planar more. |

Yes, great portrait Philber. The out of focus background really makes the portrait shine! |
