Anyone have the N 85/1.4 converted for EOS use?
How is the AF compared to the Canon AF 85/1.2 ?
Or even the Canon 85/1.8?

I currently have one of Paul's copy of the N 85/1.4 EOS converted. I would say AF is about same as the 85L II (maybe a bit faster but slower than the 85/1.8). I prefer the color rendering and contrast in the shadow areas of the N85 over the other 2 lenses.

Tomorrow I collect my converted 24-85 back from Conurus! I have another copy that stays on an N1 and gets used for film occasionally. I think of that combo as my futures fund!

I use a 70-300 a lot on my 5D Mk III, but that's going to reduce when the 24-85 is put to use.

So, the N85/1.4 swirls?
No PP.
This wasn't at MFD either...

Seems a bit noisy.
Also works okay on the Kodak SLR/C, yey!

Oh yea! The C/N 85 is swirly. It has the power to make people beautiful, beautiful people even more beautiful. This quality alone makes it timeless and priceless.

Any reason to get the C/N 100/2.8 if one don't do macro? I used to have Voigt 125/2.5 and ZE 100/2 but hated the long/precise focusing throw more than like the IQ. The new ZE 135/2 APO will have 260 degree of focusing turn. I don't think I will like that lens as well. I assume the C/N 100/2.8 being AF will not bother me with the focusing throw. Anyone with non macro samples of that lens?

I love this lens!
Messing around, handheld, I think mine needs some MA adjustment.
