Here's a shot from this afternoon's womens circuit pro-am surf competition at Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz. She is hanging right at the end of her board....more pics to come later.

Love it R B! Beautiful shot. I would love to see the sail boat too! I used to live just down the block on Floral off 30th. Ok. . . It was a quarter century ago. But the water looks as inviting and cold as ever!

here's a few more--just going through the files now and cleaning them up. Waves were low to moderate, but they did a good job with what they had.

Nice work RB. I love the first one with its special elements of no board visible and the sailboat in the background. They really make the composition more interesting. The rest of the shots are also well done.

The youhg lady on the checkered board is Erin Lewis. She is on my daughters High School team. She is one of the top longboarder rider in SoCal.

nice shots. I watched it in the am but the tide was killing it. the girls looked like they were having a good time. What time were you out there?

obsurfr---Erin was amazing on the longboard--she 'lived' at the nose during the finals. she is very smooth as she moved around on the board. i wished the surf was better to see what she
could do in those conditions. if your daughter is interested, i put more shots on
this site: http://www.pbase.com/rbs_images/womens_proam_surf

fyrmedic--i came out around 1:30 or so, just as the finals started. bad news was tide was
out, so the waves were out too. i had to walk out a ways to get close enough with a 500 and 1.4 x (on mono), at least it is very shallow out there.

thanks for the feedback, all.
