Anyone installed this yet, any adverse effects.
Do you need the previous version 1.25.0 already installed to install 1.30 or can you have an earlier version
Thanks

Went on like a snap no problems really don't notice any difference but again I don't use the wireless transmitter either. I had 1.2.5 installed previously

NO!!! You do not need 1.2.5 to install, 1.3.0 contains the VERY IMPORTANT 1.2.5 AF update you will probally find enhance your servo proformance.

I just installed firmware updates to both my 1D3 and 1Ds3. I know my 1D3 previously had like version 1.1.3 on it and it took 1.30 just fine. Haven't had a chance to use it yet so don't know. I should hope there will be no adverse effects. I was having AF issues before the firmware update so I can only hope that this fixes them a bit if not a lot. I already had a blue dot model so I didn't have to worry about the troubles that plagued the early 1D3 models. I hope the next time I shoot that I get better results. Some shots the thing was just now wanting to lock on. I couldn't even effectively lock onto a kid at the park swinging much less anything with more action. I have my fingers crossed.

I just got a nearly New Mark III, It had a high serial number and was outside of the serial number that had the recall. I called Canon anyway and asked if I had anything to worry about. They told me I had a affected number on the AF tracking issue and said if I had any trouble to send it in. I sent it in and they had it back within a week. If you are having trouble I would call Canon and see if you need to send your in.
Merry Christmas
