I installed Lightroom 2.5 on my new SSD (solid state disc) and my new Windows 7 64-bit OS. Everything good and running, but ...

I used to have an identity plate, but I can't find it anymore. When I open my Lightroom Database-2.lrcat file, I can view my pictures, but the identity plate is not stored into this file.

I still have my 'old' harddisk with the original programs. Were and how can I locate and restore my old lightroom settings and apearance?

It's stored in the LR preferences file. In Win 7 or Vista that's "user>AppData>Roaming>Adobe>Lightroom". You will need to have "show hidden files and folders" option checked in your folder preferences to see the "AppData" folder.

All you need to do is copy the preferences folder to the same spot in the new drive and merge the folders.

If you had XP I "think" the prefs file is in "user>local settings>appdata>Adobe>etc".

Yes, great, thanks! After I copied the larger Lightroom 2 Preferences.agprefs file to the same location I had my ID plate back.
