Congrats on aquiring this fine lens and finding a way to use a cheapo adapter (although I'd be inclined to paint the rear of the adapter black). |

The 35L is probably the more convenient lens but due to the massive price difference the choice was easy for me. |

If 35L and Contax 35 f:1.4 were "suspiciously similar" (copyright@Brainiac), then it seems, based on early pics, that the ZE35 f:2.0 is "suspiciously different" from its Contax forefather. I will know more when I eventually get mine |

The 35L:s I have owned have had good af even at f/1.4 but I do not shoot events like weddings so my needs might be other than Mr B's. |

The 3 aperture blades are different from the 8 in the Contax. I have not used the Contax so I can not comment on it. |
