Finally got some time and managed to process another shot from mid-October. This is taken at the "SnoBowl"; Flagstaff's ski area. Pretty windy late afternoon shot. You can see the disappearing leaves. Processed with Aperture and Nik software. Comments always appreciated. |

Nice, I like the shadow detail and the highlight colors. I heard it was 12 degrees up there a few nights ago. Would be nice to see some more of the San Francisco peaks. |

I had posted one very similar earlier. I ma now processing in the big monitor and this may be an improvement. There are apparently some biologic/environmental Aspen issues in Colorado and Arizona. There have a couple of recent articles about SAD (Sudden Aspen Death) this fall. Color was uneven depending on the venue. |

I like the second shot a lot here Mike, for the view of the stacked peaks in the background, and it seems you had a little better control over the dynamic range without the large shadow area as in the first. I'm not positive the grassy area and oblique lines of shadow are strong enough fg interest for me though. |
